Grand Bay National Wildlife Refuge
Located within Jackson County Mississippi and Mobile County Alabama, the 32,000 acre (when completed) Grand Bay National Wildlife Refuge represents one of the largest expanses of undisturbed pine savanna habitats in the Gulf Coast Plain region. Open only during daylight hours, Grand Bay National Wildlife Refuge offers the opportunity for boating, fishing, hunting, hiking, and wildlife viewing.

Located about 7 miles east of Pascagoula Mississippi and about 20 miles west of Mobile Alabama, access to Grande Bay NWR is limited, but mostly available along the Mississippi side and by boat.
