Offering a variety of paddling options, the Upper Pasquotank
River Trail offer 5, 9, 13, or 20 mile outings. This is also one of the few
paddle trails to afford an overnight camping opportunity. A high spoil bank
overlooking the water at the junction of the River and the Great Dismal Swamp
Canal offer the canoeist a dry place to spend the night.
A cut through between the river and the Dismal Swamp Canal
offers a 5 mile outing, or paddle down the river until you reach the Dismal
Swamp Canal at approximately 6.6 miles, or continue on by turning north and
paddle 3 miles to the Bingham Road Access for an approximate 10 mile outing. |
